The winners of contest “Sofia – Moscow, Bulgaria – Russia: yesterday, today, tomorrow” awarded

In the framework of the International contest was held the competition at the drawing and applied arts “Let the sun shine forever” and the contest “We remember the heroic deeds of our ancestors!” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of victory over fascism.

    The event was organized by the Foundation “For sustainable development of Bulgaria”, National palace of children, The Union of Bulgarian teachers, Bulgarian anti-fascist union, Federation of friendship with the nations of Russia and CIS countries, Sofia Association of friendship with Russia “Alexander Nevsky”, National movement “Russophiles”, Federation “Union of Compatriots”, CEB of NSRIIP, Russian cultural and informational center in Sofia, Moscow House in Sofia, in cooperation with the Ministry of enlightenment, youth and science and with the Embassy of Russia in the Republic of Bulgaria.

    More than 1700 participants from Bulgaria and Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Republic of Belarus took participation in this large-scale event.
99 children who realized their creative abilities in different categories (“Reviews and presentations for the press”, “Poems, essays, tales”, “Painting, arts and crafts” and “Songs”) became winners and nominees of the contest.

    Leading scientists, representatives of the Union of Bulgarian writers, famous painters, composers and public figures entered the jury of the contest.
    Emilia Lazarova, the member of National organizing committee of the contest and the representative of the Foundation “For sustainable development of Bulgaria” in her official greetings to guests and participants narrated main goals and objectives of the event and declared the results of the contest. She congratulated all nominees as well as their teachers, parents, directors of schools and representatives of public organizations who supported the idea of contest and who helped to implement this project contributing the development and deepening of Bulgarian-Russian relations.

    The contest’s organizers thanked the direction of Russian cultural and informational center in Sofia for the cooperation in the organization of the event.

    The awards to the winner of the contest were given by Kosta Peev – the representative of the Foundation “For sustainable development of Bulgaria” and of the Russian cultural and informational center in Sofia, by Borjana Ilieva – general secretary of the Federation of friendship with Russia and CIS,  by Mr Ivan Stanev – the representative of Bulgarian anti-fascist union, by Stojan Domustchiev – lecturer of National academy, by Pencho Zujchev – the representative of National movement “Russophiles” as well by Dimitrinka Hristova – the representative of the Union of Bulgarian Teachers.At the closing ceremony the students of Lyubomir Pipkov National musical school performed at the audience. They executed an abstract from “Requiem” based on the verses by Robert Rozhdestvensky and a musical composition based on the poem “Wait for me” by Konstantin Simonov. The performance given by Biljana Dimitrova – a 6-years old vocalist from children’s vocal group especially stuck in the memory of the guests of the evening.
